About Cougar Verdict and How We Review

Who we are

Cougar Verdict is a small independent editorial site that reviews dating platforms for women over 40 and the younger men who want to meet them. We write for a US audience, in plain English, and we update our pages when prices or features change.

How we review

For every platform we collect the same facts and score them on six weighted criteria:

• Audience fit (25%): how many members are open to age-gap dating, and how well the age filters work.
• Active members (20%): the size of the US community and signs of recent activity.
• Price and value (20%): full checkout prices, what the free tier includes and renewal terms.
• Safety and privacy (15%): verification, photo privacy, moderation and the company's data history.
• Ease of use (10%): signup, search, messaging and mobile experience.
• Member feedback (10%): recurring themes in public reviews on Trustpilot and the app stores.

Our sources are each brand's own pricing pages, terms, privacy policies and app store listings, plus public member reviews. Member numbers are the figures the brands publish and are labelled as such. Every review shows the date of its last fact check.

Independence

We earn a commission when readers join some of the sites we review. That never buys a score or a position, and we list downsides for every brand. Read our affiliate disclosure.
